Egypt skipper Mohamed Salah snubbed his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane when picking his dream five-a-side team.

Mane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich this summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga champions have already had two bids rejected for the 30-year-old, who led Senegal to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon by beating Egypt on penalties in the final.

The Merseyside club have set a £42m price tag on the wantaway forward which Bayern fell just short of when they a tabled a bid worth £30m this week.

"I go for Trent [Alexander-Arnold]," Salah said in an interview with former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport, filmed prior to the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in May,

"I love Trent, so I got him, Bobby [Roberto Firmino], myself. Sorry Virg [Virgil van Dijk] I don’t defend!

"Then I’ll take [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo."

It is interesting to see that Salah would pick fellow Liverpool forward Firmino over Mane, especially since the Egyptian and the Senegalese have always been rumoured to have a fractious relationship.
