The club over the past weekend agreed on a deal with the Dutch giants for the signing of the Black Stars poster boy.

Since Monday, Brighton officials have been engaging Mohammed Kudus and his representatives in hopes of finalizing the deal this week.

As things stand now, things are not looking good for the English Premier League outfit.

Source have told Footballghana that Mohammed Kudus has requested for a release clause to be inserted in his deal.

However, Brighton & Hove Albion are uncomfortable with the request and refuses to oblige.

This has become a big holdup in the negotiations with reports suggesting that the anticipated move is now in limbo and might collapse.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus is focused and planning to feature for Ajax on Saturday, August 12, when the team begins the campaign in the new Eredivisie season.

Ajax will host Heracles on the opening weekend.
