After a spectacular year, the 21-year-old received this coveted award against heavy competition from national teammates Daniel Amartey and Jonathan Mensah.

Despite suffering injuries last season, Kudus has been brilliant for Ajax anytime he is in action at the Johan Cruyff Arena. The Black Stars midfielder won the Eredivise and the KVNB Cup last season.

Kudus Mohammed is now undergoing treatment after injuring himself in the early stages of Ghana's last group game against South Africa last month.
