Mohammed Polo backs ex-Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston for Hearts job

Former Ghana legend Mohammed Polo has backed Laryea Kingston for the Hearts of Oak job following the exit of coach Kosta Papic.

The Phobians are presently coached by U-15 trainer Samuel Nii Noi and assisted by former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingston.

The club experienced mass resignation of the technical team led by Kosta Papic last week and the fans of the club want the management to appoint a local coach to takeover the reigns.

According to Mohammed Polo, Laryea has the experience to become a good manager at the club.

"Laryea has tasted football before so he has the requisite skills and experience to become a good manager", Polo told Light FM.

"This is an opportunity for him to be successful as a young manager.

"Grinding success at Hearts or Kotoko will certainly make you so let's see what he brings on board", he added.

Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways on Sunday against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday 15.

A brace from Victor Aidoo and a goal from Isaac Mensah saw the Hearts cruise to a 3-2 win.

The Phobians will take over on arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on matchday 16 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
