Bosnian tactician, Vahid Halilhodžić has disclosed that he still feels hurt over the decision by Morocco to sack him before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Having put together a formidable squad for the Atlas Lions, it came as a shock when Vahid was shown the exit door just a few months to the start of the mundial.

Speaking on his sacking, Vahid Halilhodžić says he cannot forget or forgive Morocco for his sacking.

According to him, he felt his pride has been taken away from him when he was sacked.

“You know, I didn’t comment on anything about Morocco at all. Journalists from Morocco, from the region are calling me but it’s hard for me to say anything.

“And these words cannot wash away my bitterness and cannot make up for what I missed with this tournament,” Coach Vahid Halilhodžić said as quoted by Goal.

The experienced tactician added, “They took away my pride. I cannot forget or forgive them because it was supposed to be my farewell to my coaching career. That’s all I can say on the subject.”

At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Morocco competed in Group F with coach Walid Regragui in the helm of affairs.

The indigenous gaffer guided Morocco to finish fourth at the end of the tournament to become the first African country to achieve that feat.
