The mother of underfire Black Star's goalkeeper, Razak Brimah has rendered an unqualified apology on behalf of her son.
Razak's mother is heard in an audio, pleading with Ghanaians to be merciful to the goalie.
Brimah, the 29-year-old goalkeeper, had earlier hurled insults at a sect of Ghanaians who he believed were unnecessarily critical of his acts.
He has been in the news since Monday for the wrong reason, after he insulted his Ghanaian critics in an audio tape via Facebook.
Ghanaians have been critical of the performance of Razak Brimah, since he failed to organise his defence well in the Black Stars 0-1 defeat against Egypt.
In the audio, she is heard saying, "I am the mother of Razak. I beg you for his comments. He is not like that, so I beg you to forgive him."
