Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has shared his delight after returning from injury to feature for Deportivo Alaves in their 2-0 win against Eibar in the Spanish La Liga over the weekend.
In a crucial match played on Sunday, the Black Stars midfield enforcer was handed a starting role after he had been cleared by the medical team of his club. For purposes of caution, he played with protection on his right hand where he had the injury.
Deportivo Alaves emerged 2-0 winners over Eibar at the end of the 90 minutes courtesy a brace from Joselu with Wakaso enjoying the full throttle.
In a Twitter post, the midfielder has extended appreciation to all those who showed him love during his time on the sidelines.
“+3 points. Thanks to ALLAH & each of you who helped me with prayers to come back strongly, I got all your messages & I really appreciate the love and the support”, the Tweet read.
Wakaso, 29, missed Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome due to the injury setback.
Having played 90 minutes yesterday, he is confident of getting more playing time in upcoming games, especially after establishing himself as one of the key Alaves midfielder.
