Ghanaian international midfielder Mubarak Wakaso was on target for Granada as they edged Deportivo Alaves 2-1 on Wednesday night in the Spanish La Liga.

Wakaso, 26, fired his new club into the lead in the 38th minute with a fierce drive from outside the penalty box.
Former Barcelona star Isaac Cuenca made it 2-0, eight minutes after the break.

However, Granada's cushion was reduced in the 57th minute when Alaves equalised.
The goal is Wakaso's first for Granada since he joined them in the winter transfer window from Greek side Panathinaikos.
