Reports coming in from Kumasi-based Nhyira FM has disclosed that Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Mudasiru Salifu will spend 6 weeks on the sidelines to nurse the injury he picked up last weekend.
The highly-rated midfielder was in action for the Porcupine Warriors to help them play against bitterest rivals Accra Hearts of Oak. After 28 minutes of play following a bad collision with an opposition player.
He was subsequently substituted to by manager Maxwell Konadu who decided to take a precautionary measure in order not to worsen the pain of the player.
Mudasiru Salifu on Monday underwent further test on the extent of the injury to determine when he will be ready to play again for Asante Kotoko.
At the end of the examination, Nhyira FM has revealed that the budding midfielder will sit out of action of 6 weeks.
