Mukarama Abdulai receives her FIFA Golden boot & Bronze ball in Ghana

Black Maidens of Ghana captain Mukarama Abdulai have finally received her Adidas Golden Boot (topscorer) and Bronze Ball (third best player) which she won at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat.

The 16-year-old bagged a remarkable seven goals in four matches for Ghana’s U-17 female national team at the tournament held in Uruguay to win the prestigious award.

The award was presented to the Northen Ladies star by Naa Odofoley Nortey- a member of the GFA Normalisation Committee on Tuesday together with the Adidas Bronze Ball (third best player) after she finished behind Spain's Claudia Pina and Nicole Perez of Mexico.

Spain were eventually crowned champions after beating Mexico 2-1 in the final.

Abdulai became Ghana's all-time top scorer in FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup history after surpassing Jane Ayieyam's six goals scored in 2012.

Following her remarkable performance at the tournament, she was included in the 15 nominees for the African Women's Player of the Year award.
