Yaw Preko, head coach of Accra Great Olympics has linked their win against Medeama SC to a change in tactics during the game.
The Dade Boys claimed a vital 1-0 victory to inflict a third straight defeat to the Yellow and Mauves in a matchday five fixture on Monday.
Ghana U23 striker Abdul Razak Yussif scored a last-gasp goal to ensure all three points remained in the capital as Olympics move to third place on the league standings.
Speaking after the game Yaw Preko admitted initially the game was tough for Olympics but a change in tactics helped his side to take the three points.
“In the beginning we didn’t start very well we played against a very good side I know Medeama they will come here will control the game. It was a bit scrappy first half they controlled majority…well we had couple of chances were we should have buried it," he said after the game.
"But I told them if we keep on missing chances gradually they will gain confidence and they will start control because we know they have a good trainer so they will start controlling the affairs of the game. Fortunately first half ended 0-0 then when we went back to the drawing board I decided to make some changes some positional changes as well and as usual as always the bench always help and they did the magic for us,”
