My departure from King Faisal was not based on performance – Abednego Tetteh

Striker Abednego Tetteh says his decision to part ways with the club was not based on performance.

Tetteh, who joined King Faisal on a free transfer before the start of the season has terminated his contract with the club after just four months.

He has made 7 appearances in four months, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists.

In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former Okwahu United star asserted his departure from King Faisal does not bound down to performance.

“I personally terminated my contract with King Faisal, the club did not sack me as purported to be. I told the club I cannot continue with them after our game against Hearts of Oak so I tendered in my letter”

Asked why he part ways with King Faisal, he said, “It’s personal. No one has offended me at the club but I feel I have to go somewhere else”

“I left the club not because of performance. Management of the club wanted me to continue but I told them I don’t feel okay to stay”

Tetteh was a big hit at Bechem United. He inspired their MTN FA Cup triumph in 2016, leading to his big move to Sudan, where he shone for Al Hilal. His carer has plummeted since he left in 2018.
