Accra Hearts of oak recorded their biggest win of the season so far when they beat Bechem United 4-2 in a Ghana Premier League midweek game yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Goals from Thomas Abbey, Richard Akrofi, Fatawu Mohammed and Cosmos Dauda ensured that, the Phobians recovered from their last defeat to Berekum Chelsea.
Head Coach of the side Frank Nuttal expressed his delight at the results but believes his players reacted professionally towards the game.
“Personally I think it was a good response from the players after a disappointing first half and results a few days ago in Berekum, so the reaction from the players was really professional and it was an excellent first half, in the second half it got a bit tighter for us but there was always going to be pressure on the players in the second half”.
Hearts of Oak have now moved to 5th position on the league table with 15 points and will travel to Obuasi this weekend to face Ashanti Gold at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
