Ashantigold forward Hans Kwofie has set sights on winning trophies with the miners in order to add his name to the record books of the club.
The former Ghana Premier League goal king has been on top form after returning to the Obuasi based club but according to him, he is not keen about winning the GPL goal king gong.
In an interview with Silver FM in Kumasi, he expressed desire to help his club win titles rather than thinking about goal king since he does not see the importance of winning it.
“Goal king is not my target; my target is to win a trophy with Ashantigold. The goal king is not my target because I have already won it without getting anything”
He continued that, “There is nothing to show after winning it, when you are able to win it that is all, you won’t get anything as such. At times people call me former goal king but I did not get anything out of it”
“So if I am able to help Ashantigold win trophies my name will be written in the record books of the club and I think that will be better for me than to win goal king where there is nothing to prove” he said.
