With his hat-trick against Feyenoord, Myron Boadu once again emphasized his eager scoring drive when it comes to matches against top teams.

The numbers don't lie. Since his debut in the Eredivisie, the 20-year-old striker has played eleven times against clubs from the traditional top-3. In it he scored ten times.

What Myron Boadu achieves in the 2019-2020 season has rarely been shown in the Eredivisie. He was accurate in De Kuip, the Philips Stadium and in the Johan Cruijff Arena.

What makes it even more special is that the AZ striker has only just blown out nineteen candles on his birthday cake. When Boadu also scores in Amsterdam, he has just turned 19 years old.

Boadu's drive to score in top matches is somewhat like the mating dance of bees. When the crowd is at its greatest and all eyes are on the performance, it is time to strike. The born Amsterdammer has mastered this trick at a young age and perhaps more importantly: he is able to continue it. Like a predator who only has to hunt on instinct, because he knows that hunting performance is going to work.

The 2020 calendar year is not full of top players, partly because the KNVB is shifting all top matches from the 2020-2021 season to after the winter in the hope that the public will be able to attend these matches.
