Naby Keita urge other Kotoko forwards to aspire to be better than Sogne Yacouba

Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Naby Keita has urged other forwards at the club to work hard to prove to supporters that they are equally good like Sogne Yacouba and can even do better.

The Porcupine Warriors recently parted ways with Yacouba on the back of a back and forth in relation to negotiations with a contract extension.

In a bid to replace the forward, Kotoko has secured the services of William Opoku Mensah as well as Kwame Poku.

Speaking to Kotoko Express on Kwame Poku who is the latest signing, Naby Keita says they must together work hard and aspire to be better than the departed Sogne Yacouba.

“Kwame [Poku] is a very very good striker. The first time I saw him I was very happy for him as a striker. Yacouba who was one of our best strikers is no more with us so we have to show the supporters that we can be like him or even better”, Keita said.

Naby Keita and Kwame Poku will be fighting for starting roles at Kotoko when the Ghana Premier League season resumes alongside William Opoku Mensah and Richard Arthur.
