West Bromwich Albion are rapidly closing in on the £13m signing of Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli, one of the five signing Baggies boss Tony Pulis is keen to make before Wednesday night's deadline.
According to the Daily Mail, a medical has scheduled for Chadli at West Brom, with an agreement over personal terms expected to follow without issue.
It is said that the Belgian international is being earmarked as a potential number 10 at the Hawthorns - a role filled by teenage academy graduate Sam Field during Sunday's 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough.
Chadli was a £7m signing for Spurs from FC Twente in the summer of 2013, one of the multitude of players that arrived at White Hart Lane as Gareth Bale left for Real Madrid in a world record deal.
He scored as many as 11 Premier League goals for the club in 2014/15 but saw his playing time decrease last season and has so far not even been named on the bench in this new campaign.
West Brom are also closing in on a record equalling £15m capture of Ignacio Camacho from Malaga, a player previously linked with Liverpool.
In terms of players leaving the club, BBC Scotland has revealed that forgotten Costa Rican full-back Cristian Gamboa, signed off the back of an impressive 2014 World Cup, is in Glasgow for a medical ahead of a move to Celtic.
There remains uncertainty over what the next few days will mean for Saido Berahino. The home-grown striker has been heavily linked with Stoke but actually appears to have left the country for a family holiday, suggesting a move might not be on the cards after all.
