After a sterling performance for Ivorian side San Pedro in the 2018-2019 season, Nana Antwi Manu switched to Haras El Hodoud where he amassed 20 games with ten assists and five goals with eight man-of-the-match awards to highlight his importance to the side.

The 26-year-old center-forward helped clinch the Ivorian FA Cup with San Pedro and finished second.

The former captain of the Achiken FC is confident that if he receives a call from Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor, he will be able to displace a few of the strikers in the national team.

Speaking to Kumasi 104.1 FM the attacker said: “I’m ever ready for any call up from the head coach of the Black Stars [CK Akonnor] to play for the Black Stars of Ghana. I have the qualities to compete with the attackers of the national team,”

Nana Antwi Manu believes time and prayers will help him achieve his childhood dream of playing for the Black Stars.

“I’m not bragging because I have the confidence if I’m given the chance to play for the senior national team. I can bench and compete with some of the strikers and I will prove myself if I am given the nod, but I know with time and prayers I will play for the Black Stars one day because it’s my dream to play for the national team” he added.
