Former Asante Kotoko General Manager, Nana Gyambibi Coker has lauded the management of the club for terminating the agreement with Club Consult Africa, who were the suppliers for the Strike sportswear.

The Ghana Premier League heavyweights announced the termination of the contract on Wednesday.

Kotoko signed a three year deal with Club Consult in 2018.

And according to Nana Coker, the previous management began the initiative of cancelling the deal but has applauded the termination of the contract.

“I side with the Asante Kotoko management over the Club Consult Africa/Strike contract termination.

“We even started the process to end the deal but unfortunately we left,” Gyambibi told Pure FM.

“Initially, they fulfilled the terms in the contract by providing the needed kits but subsequently refused to honour their promises.

“As a result, Sarfo Duku(Former Head of Legal Affairs) even wrote to them for contract termination during our time.

The former Reds director went on to reveal the terms in the kit supply deal.

“Kotoko was expected to get GH¢200,000 anytime Club Consult Africa are able to sell 200,000 replica jerseys.

“This means Kotoko will get GH¢1 from each replica jersey. The former management never liked the contract.”

The club on Friday, October 9 have announced a new kit sponsorship deal with Italian kit manufacturers Errea on a three year deal.
