In the recent past, Kotoko have not done a good job when it comes to player transfers and marketing.
Take Sogne Yacouba for example. The forward was a star for the side and was rated as one of the best in the league but left on a free after a terrible public disagreement over wages.
Also, the club's problems in Africa (case with Esperance) has done little to help their public image this year.
The club is trying to move forward with new strategies. A commendable effort has been made by the patron to ban transfers for one year.
They are also looking to get a permanent stadium for themselves.
The CEO job has been given to Nana Yaw Amponsah to make sure these strategies are executed perfectly.
In the next three years, he will also consider improving player transfers (that is selling players for good money and getting good deals in purchases).
Also, he will look at improving Kotoko's marketing area. A huge focus on improving their social media grip is expected.
Nana Yaw Amponsah has a lot on his hands.
