Respected Ghanaian football administrator, Nana Yaw Amponsah has left his role as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko.

This follows a decision by Manhyia to dissolve the board and management of Asante Kotoko on Monday, July 4, following a high-ranking meeting.

Nana Yaw Amponsah was appointed in August 2020 to lead the club's management.

He had an immediate impact as his off-the-pitch successes saw the securing a number of top partnership and sponsorships.

In his second season in charge of Asante Kotoko as the club’s CEO, he managed to win the Ghana Premier League title with the side.

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for the CEO in the just-ended football season as Asante Kotoko ended the campaign without silverware.

While he is no longer CEO of Asante Kotoko, he is set to join the race to contest the Ghana FA Presidential seat according to information gathered from close sources.

He contested the last election but lost to Kurt Okraku.
