Nasiru Mohammed’s contract with Levski Sofia likely to be terminated after refusing pay cut

Reports reaching footballghana.com indicates that Ghanaian international Mohammed Nasiru will likely part ways with Levski Sofia by mutual consent in the summer transfer window.

This we understand will happen largely because he is one of the revolting players at the Bulgarian club who have refused to take a pay cut in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Officials of Levski Sofia have been discussing pay cut with its player to help the team survive the Covid-19 storm which has presented most clubs with financial challenges.

Foreign players such as Mohammed Nasiru, Nuno Reish, Milan Mijatovic, Stein Speyers, Franco Mazurek, and Filip Nashimento have all opposed the pay cut as they want to be paid in full according to their contract.

Information being picked up is that Levksi Sofi will want to cut costs in the next transfer window and since players are not willing to take the pay cut, they will let go of some of the high earning players in the next transfer window.

In line with that, Nasiru, 25, who is one of those players will likely see his contract being terminated.
