Special Competition: Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong eyes win over AshantiGold

Asante Kotoko skipper Amos Frimpong is eyeing a victory for Porcupine Warriors against AshantiGold SC in the NC Special Competition at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Kotoko will travel to Obuasi to face their regional-rivals Ashgold in matchday 10 of the competition after a 1-1 stalemate against Bechem United in midweek.

According to the 27-year-old, the Reds were simply not at their best against Bechem United, however, they are hopeful of a win over a ‘very good and discipline Ashgold’ side in Obuasi.

”Our game against Ashgold is a very difficult game looking at the quality in their team. They have a very good team, very disciplined team and playing against them at the Obuasi Len Clay will be a very difficult game," the right-back told SportsworldGhana.com in an interview.

”Even though we drew 1-1 with Bechem United in Kumasi but looking at the preparations we’ve gone through this week, I can confidently tell you no matter how difficult will be Kotoko too is ready for the game and we are going to Obuasi for the maximum three points."
