Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey Ghana says the Black Stars will only be at the 2018 FIFA World Cup if they are able to maintain their focus during the qualifiers.

The Leicester man insists there are no easy teams in the Stars group and has urged the team to be serious before, during and after all the matches.

Ghana are in Group E of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers alongside seven-time African champions Egypt, Congo and Uganda.

Coach Avram Grant’s Stars' will begin their qualifying campaign with a home fixture against Uganda in October, before taking on Egypt and Congo.

“Every team in our group for the World Cup is very strong and so we need to prepare well”.

“We need to be focused as a team and do our best to qualify for our fourth world cup appearance,” he said on Starr FM.
