We need to take our time in appointing a head coach: Hearts board member

A board member of Hearts of Oak Thomas Esso says they are not in a hurry to appoint a head coach.

Hearts have been without a head coach since the demotion of Portuguese trainer Sergio Traguil some months back.

With the start of the new season around the corner, many especially the followers of the club would have wished they had a head coach now.

But Thomas Esso insists they must do the right thing by taking their time.

"What about if a coach is not performing during the season and he is let go and another one takes over, will that be an excuse for that coach to also say he is not going to perform, i don't so," he told Joy FM

"We have our own strategy and we know the league is not going to start on the 18 so very soon we will appoint a coach.

"In Ghana the way our football works you need to consider a whole lot of things before you can appoint a coach."
