NewAston Villa owner Tony Xia has set out bold targets since completing his formal takeover of the club earlier this summer, revealing that he want's to see thehistoric giant back in the Premier League immediately and then challenging for Europe in a few years.

To get back to the top flight at the first time of asking, the Chinese businessman has promised a sizeable transfer budget for Roberto Di Matteo in the Championship, although apparentlynot everyone is convinced that he's as wealthy as has been let on.

One fan addressed Xia and Twitter asking if a wild statement made by a 'mate'about not being the 'real deal' was true. It was a silly question to ask, and Xia didn't seem best pleased as he responded, also taking the opportunity to slam media reporting.

Tell your mate to read more books to get wisdom instead read too many nasty useless articles from nasty medias. https://t.co/R87g9rQKfI

"Tell your mate to read more books to get wisdom instead read too many nasty useless articles from nasty medias," he said.

Xia, who made his fortune as head of the Recon Group, only joined Twitter this month and was cruelly duped into retweeting a picture of the notoriousJimmy Saville by one user who thought it would be funny to ask him to wish 'Uncle Jimmy' a happy birthday.

Really did not know that man, I thought he was a comedy actor. It was not joke and I don't think it's funny to make this.

Xia later tweeted,"Really did not know that man, I thought he was a comedy actor. It was not joke and I don't think it's funny to make this."
