Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Nana Sam Brew-Buttler says he expects the new Black Stars coach to be competent.

Nana Brew-Buttler noted that competence was the best key to solving the Stars predicament.

He said any competent coach irrespective of the colour will be my bet for the job.

The Stars job have been vacant since Avram Grant resigned from his post after the recently held AFCON.

In an interview with Footballghana, Nana Brew-Buttler said "I don't care about the colour because competence is the key".

"I prefer someone who can unite the team and win us laurels," he added.
