New Edubiasie president Abdul Salam tags the 2015/2016 season as too cheap

Abdul Salam Yakubu, President of New Edubiase United believes this season’s Ghana Premier League is too cheap for his outfit to be relegated.

The ‘Yenko Nkoaa’ boys have occupied bottom of the league table for most part of the season which have prompted the connoisseurs of the local league to earmark them as relegation candidates as the season reaches its peak.

However, the outspoken bankroller of the beleaguered side, popularly known as ‘Sabarto’ in football circles branded this season’s league ‘Adefoode’ as he feels they will have no problem surviving the drop.

“This is the ‘Adefoode’ league I’ve been involved in ever since I joined the Ghana Premier League. This very one is the cheapest league to survive relegation because we’ve faced worst relegation threats in the past and I know how it feels when you are under pressure to perform to retain your status in the and I can confidently say this is the cheapest of them all to survive.”

“So I think those who feel we are on the brink of dropping out into the Division One should rather think of themselves and their teams’ interest because New Edubiase United is here to stay in the Premier league forever until I Abdul Salam says otherwise or when the time is right to bow out on my own terms.” He told Reuben Obodai of Happy FM.

New Edubiase United task of beating relegation doesn’t come any worse than playing against the on fire WAFA side on Saturday, who last week defeated the mighty Hearts of Oak at Sogakofe Park.
