Deputy Black Stars Captain, Andre Ayew has urged his teammates at Swansea City to keep the momentum going after beating Burnley 1-0 on Saturday.

The Ghanaian, rejoined the Swans from West Ham and was in inspiring form as the Welsh Club beat Burnley to move further away from the relegation zone.

Swansea are on a run of nine games without a defeat, after a terrible start to the season.

Ayew, who was the club's top scorer two season's ago has called on his team mates to keep the positive momentum going in the quest to survive the relegation dog fight.

“The whole team is doing really well,” the forward said. "We’re showing a lot of character and determination," he added.

“We had a few chances in the first half, but we didn’t get nervous and kept playing our game. At the end of the day, we got the goal.

“It’s been a difficult period for us. We may have won but there are still a lot of games to go, so we just need to keep our momentum going as we’ve got a big game coming up against Brighton.”
