English Premier League side Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Ghanaian youngster Myron Boadu in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Boadu has been in fine form this season, scoring 19 goals and providing eight assists for AZ Alkmaar.

According to Calciomercato, the 19-year-old is attracting interest from several clubs in Europe including AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen.

Newcastle have been linked with the AZ Alkmaar striker in recent weeks in bid to solve their goal scoring woes this summer.

The Magpies have struggled for goals this term, scoring 25 goals after 30 matches played thus far and are the joint-lowest scorers in the top-flight alongside Norwich City.

Newcastle will have to beat off competition from several clubs to complete the signing of the highly-rated forward with AZ Alkmaar demanding a £17.5 million.
