Newly promoted GPL side Karela FC monitor Hearts goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu

Newly prmoted Ghana Premier League side Karela FC are monitoring Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu as they seek to sign the gloves man.  

The former Hasaacas goalkeeper has stated he is unhappy at the Capital based club following limited play time last season.

Akurugu lost his position to Ben Mensah in the cause of the season, which has seen him play second fiddle to the former Edubiase goalkeeper.

However, Akurugu thinks it's because he conceded 5 against WAFA, hence the reason for dropping him subsequently by Coach Frank Nuttal.

The bald headed goalkeeper then sent in a transfer requ est despite left with a year on his contract.

His situation has left new Ghana Premier League side Karela FC interested in signing him for experience.
