The u-16 team of Ghana Premier League side, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) has been drawn in Group C of the next generation tournament where they will be coming up against the youth teams of Valencia and Red Bull.
The yearly tournament is organized with the aim of giving young players the opportunity of competing at a big stage whiles exhibiting their talent which makes them unique to look out for in the near future.
WAFA’s youth side is one of 12 teams that is set to battle it out in this year’s edition.
The tournament will be hosted in Salzburg, Austria and will see 4 groups made up of 3 teams competing at the first round.
WAFA won the last edition and will have to go past American side New York Red Bull and Spanish club Valencia if they want to successfully defend the title.
All group games are expected to be played on Thursday, 8 August 2019.
The final will, however, be played on August 10.
