Spain international of Ghanaian descent Nico Williams has joined Athletic Bilbao’s preseason training as the team gear up for the 2024/25 football season.
Williams has emerged as a top transfer target for several clubs including PSG and Spanish giants Barcelona following his swashbuckling performance for club and country.
Both PSG and Barcelona have tracking the Athletic Bilbao winger as they seek to secure his signature this summer.
Meanwhile, reports in Spain suggest Williams has no interest in joining the French Ligue 1 champions.
Barcelona, on the other side, appears to be struggling to stump up the right fee to snap up the forward this window.
Despite huge interest, the highly-rated winger has joined his Athletic Bilbao teammates for preseason training.
Williams made 31 appearances, scored five goals, and assisted 11 in the 2023/24 La Liga.
He played an integral role to help the Spain national team clinch the 2024 Euro championship, defeating England in the final last month.
