Nigeria to take on Ghana's World Cup opponent Portugal in friendly

On Thursday, November 17th, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Portugal in a major senior team friendly at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.

The Nigeria Football Federation  (NFF) officially confirmed the date and venue for the game on Thursday 8th September.

The encounter against Portugal will be the first senior men's meeting for both countries, however, the Super Falcons and the Senior Women's Team of Portugal fought to a dramatic 3-3 draw in the USWNT Summer Series last summer in Houston, Texas, USA.

Portugal is in Group H with the Black Stars of Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea.

Portugal will play their first game at the 2022 World Cup against Ghana.
