Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Kojo Yankah says the Black Stars' failure to beat Uganda was as a result of Nii Lante outburst with the Ghana Football Association.

There have been several unpleasant reports in the aftermath of the Black Stars' scoreless draw against the Cranes of Uganda in match day one of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier at the Tamale sports stadium, and the executive member of the Ghana Football Association, Kojo Yankah believes the team's inability to pick the all needed three points should be pinned on the youth and sports minister.

"Our failure to beat Uganda is Nii Lante's doing. We shouldnt put any blame on the pitch or anybody, the blame should solely be placed at the door step of him," Kojo Yankah told Happy FM sports.

He continued, "The man speaks too much. In all the World Cups we qualified, the ministers that were in charge had to sweet-talk the boys to die for the nation. His predecessors promised the boys fat bonuses. but Nii Lante always demoralized the players with his assertions. He doesn't know how to pamper the boys to give their best for us."

The draw against Uganda has placed the team in second position on the Group E table, with Egypt occupying the top spot after their 2-1 win at Brazzaville against Congo.
