Nike Confirm Mega-Money Long-Term Contract With Real Madrid Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has followed up his new five-year contract with Real Madrid this week with a fresh extension of his already long-term relationship with global sportswear giant Nike that will tie him to the brand well into the future.

Such a deal,if reports are to believed, could see him earn up to as much as$1bn...yes, $1bn.

Ronaldo first signed with Nike in 2003 at the age of just 18 and has been the American corporation's premier football star for most of the 13 years since.


The three-time Ballon d'Or winner and favourite for this year's award has worn 60 different types of Nike boots over the year, with the latest launched this week.

"I have a great relationship with this brand, I have great friends here in the company. We work as a family too. This is my brand," Ronaldo told Nike.com.


Although his Real Madrid kit is supplied by Adidas, Ronaldo was dressed in Nike gear as he completed one of the finest achievements of his career over summer when he lifted Portugal's first international silverware as captain at Euro 2016.
