No player is perfect, including Lionel Messi, says Hearts of Oak boss Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has acknowledged the limitations of all players, including the legendary Lionel Messi.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, July 24, 2024, Ouattara emphasized the importance of recognizing that no player is perfect.

"There is no player who is 100% perfect. If you know one, mention his name and I’ll tell you one thing he can’t do, including Messi. Have you seen Messi cross the ball before? Everyone has their mistakes," he stated.

The Phobians finished a disappointing 14th in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season and are aiming for significant improvement next season.

The club plans to strengthen the squad and is currently undergoing a technical review as part of its rebuilding process.

"We're starting to build a team," Ouattara said. "We want to have a good team for next season and play well for the fans. We don’t want to struggle and be close to the relegation zone. We want to do better than last season."
