No show of Tom Strand as Great Olympics suffer 2-1 home defeat to Aduana

Accra Great Olympics were without speculated new coach Tom Strand as they suffered yet another home defeat in week eleven of the of the Ghana Premier League to Aduana Stars on Monday.

Following the team's shambolic showing in their to the Ghana Premier League, there have been calls for the sacking of team coach Godwin Attram with former Medeama SC coach Tom Strand tipped to replace him.

Media reports suggested that Olympics had appointed the Swedish tactician however, he was missing in the dagout as they lost 2-1 to 10-man Aduana Stars at the Accra Sporst Stadium.

The unfortunate struck in the 11th minute when Dan Quaye tried to clear a cut back pass by Derrick Sassraku but he nicked the ball into own net to give the away the lead.

Godfred Saka was given his marching orders by referee Kennedy Padi for a vicious challenge on Olympics midfielder Douglas Mintah in the 35th minute.

Aduana doubled their lead in the 40 minute following a blunder by veteran defender Dan Quaye, which left goalkeeper Abraham Odonkor hapless and Bright Adjei sneaked in to tap home into a yawning net.

At the start of the second half, Player coach of Olympics Godwin Attram came on for Douglas Mintah and the move paid dividends as they mounted huge pressure on the away side, and they got their reward in the 69th minute courtesy striker Abel Manomey.
