The Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Special Competition, scheduled to start on Sunday, March 31 will have the two glamour clubs in the country, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko commencing their opener game at home.
Having put all the 16 premiere league clubs in two zones, with 8 teams in each zone, Kotoko will play first game at home and same as Hearts of Oak.
In Zone A, defending champions of the premier league, Aduana Stars would travel to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko, whilst Obuasi Ashantigold would host Eleven Wonders at Len Clay stadium.
The two other fixtures on the opening weekend in Zone A, would see Medeama SC visit Brekum Chelsea at Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium and 2016 champions Wa All Stars would be at home to welcome Bechem United FC at Wa Sports Stadium.
In Zone B, the continental club masters, Accra Hearts of Oak would host Dreams FC, at the Accra Sports Stadium whilst Karela United would travel to Cape Coast Stadium to face Ebusua Dwarfs FC. Tema based Inter Allies FC would welcome Elmina Sharks at Tema Sports Stadium and Liberty Professionals would play away to West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) at WAFA Sports Complex.
