Skipper of Women's Premiership side Ashtown Ladies, Veronica Dankwah has bemoaned her outfit striking prowess and their inability to score goals in the ongoing special competition.

Speaking in an interview with footballghana.com, the reliable defender revealed that Ashtown Ladies team is not hundred percent of itself due to it upfront enforcer.

According to her, the challenge in the team is the striking position which they must improve upon to harvest good results in the Normalization Committee special competition.

"Our striking department is causing us alot of negatives which is a minus and a reason behind our poor results away". Not recording wins when we play away".

"Due to one or two issues we have being playing a defender as our forward which is not giving us the needed results".

“Though we create alot of chances upfront but to convert to goals is the problem, so going forward we will have to improve upon our decisions at goal to help us gather more points", she told footballghana.com

Veronica however stated that, despite having goal scoring challenges, her outfit will top Group A to advance to the next stage of the competition.

“I am very convinced, looking at my output and the teams performance in this very competition we can top the group and qualify to the quarter finals phase".

Veronica's outfit as it stands after three matches into the special competition have five points and top of Group A table.

Ashtown currently have netted three goals and conceded no goal so far in the competition.
