Indian Super League (ISL) side NorthEast United is on the verge of signing former Irish international Andy Keogh to replace Ghanaian international Asamoah Gyan who is out with a long term injury.
The veteran Black Stars attacker picked up the injury while in action for his side last month when they lost 3-0 to ATK.
Subsequent checks and assessment has revealed that the former Al Ain forward will spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Due to that, NorthEast United has ventured into the market to find a replacement for Asamoah Gyan. The Indian Super League club is understood to be in advanced talks with experienced Irish striker Andy Keogh.
The 33-year-old will be joining from Saudi Arabian lower division side Al-Qadsiah where he has bagged 8 goals after making 17 appearances in the ongoing season.
