Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton is desperate to keep hold of superkid Ben Brereton.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are among a host of clubs keeping tabs on the newly-crowned Championship Apprentice of the Year.

But Warburton said of the 17 year-old striker: “We have to get the points on the board, get safety assured, then we can think about discussing contracts with players.

“We are delighted with Ben Brereton, he has good people behind him and I'm sure common sense will prevail in terms of his contract.

“Ben is enjoying his football and we enjoy him being here. Every player has a price but the best place for him is here at Forest."
