Nottingham Forest manager, Sabri Lamouchi, has justified Albert Adomah's recall despite missing out on the Championship playoff.

Adomah, who joined Forest from Aston Villa from the start of the season was loaned to Cardiff City in teh Skybet Championship.

The Ghana international became an integral part of Neil Harris side.

However, on June 30, Adomah was recalled by Forest which did not go down with Cardiff.

And after failing to secure a playoff spot despite beating Stoke City on the final day, Lamouchi says Adomah was Forest player and they had the right recall him at any time.

"The situation is clear," he said.

"Albert is a Nottingham Forest player. It was a loan and the club is doing the right to call back the players if they want.

"I am not understanding the problem. Cardiff know everything.

"We are just talking between smart and clever people to do the right thing for everybody and the club. The club decides, not me," he added.

Adomah could not play for Forest following his return due to new regulations.

Forest failed to secure a playoff spot after Swansea City defeated Ready 4:1 to qualify with one goal difference.
