NSA embarks on massive clean-up exercise at Baba Yara sports stadium

The staff of the Ashanti Regional Sports Authority, on Thursdays, 18th April, 2019 engaged in a massive clean-up exercise within and outside of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to keep the facility and its environs sanitized.

In all, Eighty-Seven staff members participated in the exercise, comprising of Permanent Staff, Contact Workers, Nation Builders Corpse Personnel, Youth Employment Agency Personnel and National Service Personnel.

Led by the Ag. Regional Director of Sports, Mr. Edmond Appiah, the exercise concentrated on the removal and dismantling of unapproved wooden and metal structures, sweeping and collection of unwarranted filth, weeding of internal green grass and the removal of extended grass and weeds in and around the main football pitch at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The staff were then treated to a bout of kenkey and fried red fish as refreshment before they departed to their various homes.
