NWL: Defending Champions Ampiah Darkoa to play Lady Strikers in Women’s League finals

Defending Champions of the National Women’s League, Ampem Darkoa will play Lady strikers in the finals of the Championship on October 7th after the two sides emerged champions in the Northern and Southern Zones respectively.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies topped the Northern Zone with 31 points, same points as Lady Strikers who emerged victors in the Southern Zone.

The Champions Ampem Darkoa lost their final game to Lepo Ladies 2-1 but their placed in the finals was already secured. However Lady Strikers had to beat Police Ladies with the same scoreline to win the Zone.

Meanwhile, Holy Ladies were relegated after just picking a point in the league from the Southern Zone with Real Upper Ladies also dropped from the Northern Zone.

Their places will be taken by two teams that will qualify from the Zonal Championships for Season Six of the competition.

The venue of the finals is yet to be announced.
