Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Obed Owusu has shared that he joined the club with the dream of winning the CAF Champions League or the Confederations Cup title.

The forward secured a transfer to become a Porcupine Warrior in 2015 with high hopes on the back of an impressive spell with Berekum Chelsea in the CAF Champions League.

In his 5 years stay at Kotoko, he failed to live up to the hype around his transfer with a section of the club supporters pushing for his sale on several occasions.

Finally after leaving, he has revealed why he left Chelsea to join the Reds. According to him, he hoped to conquer Africa with the Ghanaian giants.

“I came to Kotoko with a mentality of winning the champions league or the confederation. Asante Kotoko is the greatest team I have played so far and I never used anything like Black magic (juju) at Asante Kotoko”, the striker said in an interview with Live FM.

Though the attacker was part of Kotoko's team that played in successive CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup competitions, that dream could not be realized.
