Footballghana.com can report that Kumasi Asante Kotoko has finally confirmed the appointment of Black Stars B manager Maxwell Konadu to lead the team into the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

The former player of the Porcupine Warriors is returning to the club as their head coach for the second time with his firs stint coming way back in 2011.

His confirmations come on the back of earlier reports on Footballghana.com indicating that the club had handed him a contract to take over from Kjetil Zachariassen who failed woefully with the team during their campaign in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.

After successful negotiations between the management of Kotoko and Maxwell Konadu, the gaffer has penned a two-year contract which could be extended upon expiry when he manages to excel throughout the period.

He has been tasked to lead the Reds to League triumph at least once in the next two seasons and also guide the team to the knockout stage of any of CAF's inter-club competitions.
