OFFICIAL: Medeama SC appoint Charles Anokye as new assistant coach

Medeama SC have confirmed the appointment of top Ghanaian coach Charles Anokye Frimpong as the club’s new assistant coach for the first team.

Having missed out on the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup titles, the Yellow and Mauve outfit has started planning for the 2021/2022 football season.

On Friday morning, the club through a communique on its Twitter page confirmed that it has parted ways with head coach Yaw Preko and assistant Yaw Acheampong for successfully ending their contracts with the club.

In another Tweet that followed, Medeama SC announced that they have appointed Techiman Eleven Wonders coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu as new first team head coach.

This evening, the club-based in Tarkwa has also announced that they have finished talks with Kumasi Sports Academy coach Charles Anokye Frimpong to serve as the new assistant coach.

“We are happy to announce the appointment of Charles Anokye Frimpong as first team assistant coach. Welcome to Tarkwa,” an official statement on the Twitter page of the club has said.

Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu and coach Charles Anokye will be expected to work together next season to help the club achieve success.
