Olympic Games qualifiers: We are here to beat Ghana – Kenya striker Mwanahalima Adam

Ahead of the crucial first-leg tie between the Black Queens of Ghana and the Harambee Starlets of Kenya, striker Mwanahalima Adam insists they are in for an away victory.

Ghana is playing as host to the first of the two-legged encounter which will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium later this afternoon.

The match is part of the qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games which is expected to take play in Tokyo, Japan.

Speaking in an interview ahead of the match, Kenya forward Mwanahalima Adam is confident of playing her to part to ensure Ghana is defeated even though she concedes it will be a tough game.

“We have met several times, so we know each other well. They are a strong side, but we will be going for a win”, she said.

Adam will be instrumental for Kenya if they are to get a good result from today’s encounter. She scored two goals in the second leg of the third round of the qualifiers to help the Harambee Starlets beat Malawi 5-3 on aggregate.

The match will kick off at exactly 15:00GMT this afternoon.
