Olympics management must be blamed for relegation trouble - Godwin Attram

Former Great Olympics player-cum-trainer, Godwin Attram, has insisted that management is part of the reason the club is struggling in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Attram, who guided the team from Division One was relieved of his duty after the first round of the campaign and replaced with Swedish gaffer Tom Strand, following the club's dwindling fortunes.

Nevertheless, Strand has since failed to pull Olympics out from the relegation net, and with just ten matches to end the league, Olympics may find themselves back to the lower division if nothing is done to salvage the situation.

Speaking to Ghanasoccernet in an Attram attributed the club's woes to their top hierarchy for failing to exercise patience with him during his tenure.

"The supporters knew that I was doing well for the club but the management took a hasty decision to demote me," the 36-year-old said.

"For now, they have seen that I was trying to build a strong squad for the club." Olympics now occupies 15th position on the Ghana Premier League table after match-day twenty with 19 points.
